The energy was electric, the fashion was flawless, and the celebration of Black excellence was undeniable—this year’s 10th Annual RBC Black Diamond Ball at The Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto was a night to remember! As one of Canada’s premier cultural events, the Ball has always been a beacon of arts, culture, community, and business, but this year, it reached dazzling new heights.
This milestone year, themed "Let’s Get Together," marked a decade of uplifting and empowering the Black community through music, storytelling, and unity. Founded by Shawn Cuffie, the Black Diamond Ball is more than just an event—it’s a movement. What started as a vision to celebrate Black culture, showcase artists, and support Black youth and Black-owned businesses has evolved into an unmissable Black History Month tradition. The night served as a grand finale to a month dedicated to honoring achievements, fostering connections, and inspiring the next generation.

The star power at this year’s Ball was nothing short of legendary! The incomparable Melanie Fiona headlined the event, gracing the stage with her soul-stirring vocals and undeniable presence. Following in the footsteps of past headliners like Brandy, Tank, and Mya, Melanie delivered a performance that, as expected, left the audience in awe.
But the musical magic didn’t stop there! Dario Dvon, winner of The Vocalist, brought his powerful voice to the stage, alongside the electrifying sounds of The Recipe Band, who kept the energy soaring all night long. The entertainment was a true testament to the incredible talent within the Black community.
Guiding us through this unforgettable night were the dynamic hosts: Juno Award-winning artist Sean Jones and vibrant media personality Azalea Hart. Their charm, wit, and enthusiasm kept the audience engaged, setting the perfect tone for a night of celebration and connection.

The Black Diamond Ball isn’t just about glitz and glamour—it’s about impact. Throughout the years, the Artxperiential Projects organization has worked tirelessly to create opportunities for at-risk youth, emerging artists, and entrepreneurs. This year, the Ball continued its commitment to mentorship, education, and community empowerment, ensuring that the legacy of Black excellence extends far beyond this one night.
From the celebrity gifting lounge to the exclusive auctions, (including a premium box for the Toronto Raptors vs. San Antonio Spurs game, an autographed Jordan basketball, original art pieces by Banksy, and more!) Guests were immersed in a world of luxury and philanthropy. The evening was not only a celebration of culture, but also a chance to give back and invest in the future of the community.

As the final toast was made and the last dance was danced, one thing was certain—the RBC Black Diamond Ball continues to be a cultural cornerstone. With ten years in the books and an even brighter future ahead, we can’t wait to see what’s next!
