January 16th, 2025, marks the 46th birthday of R&B legend, actress, and model Aaliyah. On her birthday, the world is reminded of why her love is still one in a million, even after her tragic passing in 2001 following a devastating plane crash that took the life of the rising superstar. Missy Elliott, a long-term friend and music partner who produced “4 Page Letter” on Aaliyah’s timeless album One In A Million, took to Twitter to celebrate the release of Aaliyah’s new Barbie Doll. The Barbie Doll, which is part of Mattel's Barbie Music Series, honors the breathtaking and signature look from her timeless video “One in a Million,” mirroring Aaliyah’s fashionable all-black leather crop top and pants outfit worn in one of the iconic video’s scenes. To date, Aaliyah’s One In A Million album has sold over 3 million copies in the United States and 8 million copies worldwide, making this timeless album certified double platinum.
