Mila’s participation in this initiative underscores her commitment to using art as a means of empowerment and celebration of cultural heritage. She aims to merge various aspects of her cultural identity into her work, emphasizing the vastness and richness of Black culture. This aligns perfectly with the MARTK’D initiative’s goals, which highlight the influence of Black culture on society and the significance of access to higher education.
