On Thursday, December 5, the iconic and historical Apollo Theater hosted the 2024 Root 100 Gala, honoring the year's most influential Black Americans. Hosted by comedian Roy Wood Jr., the prestigious event featured show-stopping performances by Andra Day and Ledisi.

Among the honorees in attendance were prominent figures like Don Lemon, Tamron Hall, Aldis Hodge, Wendell Pierce, Laura Coates, and Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. The evening also welcomed notable guests such as Mona Scott-Young, Tracy Morgan, Jawn Murray, Flex Anderson, Noma Dumezweni, Edwin Hodge, and Skye P. Marshall, making it a star-studded celebration of Black excellence and impact.
