Taking a more simplistic approach with the design, Glamourina co-owner's Kia Phillips and Nekol Gaskins relaunch Glamourina's third collection, with minimal prints and a cooler color pallette for the fall season. Scheduled for an online launch on the First of September at glamourina.com, fit and on-the-go fashionistas are invited to shop the collection in-person at its first East Coast retail location, The Footage Society (Laurel, MD), this September 14 from 4-to-7pm.

"Our leggings are great for the fall season and we are excited to give our current customers, as well as new customers, high-quality, culturally-inspired activewear choices," says the Co-Owners.

In addition to the Rehani Red, Bahira Black and Ghanami Green leggings and accessories launched in February 2019, the fall collection introduces a Panambi Plum legging, yet their offerings also expand beyond leggings and sports bras, with hoodies, shirts, socks, hats, and scarves.

Customers will find familiarity in the new collection as the last; Glamourina's signature fabric is a spandex/polyester blend material, which is both moisture-wicking and body sculpting, while the culturally symbolic logo which represents women of African descent remains a centerpiece.

A shopping experience through collaboration with The Footage Society is pivotal for Glamourina, a company making fitness fashionable and bringing culture to the forefront. Partnering with other businesses owned by people of color aids in the growth and sustainability of small businesses and its communities. The event will also feature a Glamourina visual fashion presentation by Mary Patterson of Twelve16, LLC.

Glamourina is the go-to activewear apparel brand for culturally conscious women; founded in Washington, DC. Co-owner's Kia Phillips and Nekol Gaskins are working mothers who share a passion to design fashionable clothing that inspires and uplifts women. “Our mission is to encourage all women to live healthy active lifestyles by providing cultural and unique activewear for all body types.” For more information, visit: glamourina.com or shopGlamourina on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
