WalkGood LA Brings "Unstoppable" A Powerful, True Story of Triumph to FilmGood


Today marked the first of five days where Los Angeles film lovers, community leaders, and stars gather for an unforgettable celebration of art, storytelling, and holistic wellness. For its second year, WalkGood LA has uniquely blended film screenings, artistic exhibitions, and wellness practices aimed at strengthening community connections while amplifying underrepresented voices.

Kicking off the 2nd Annual FilmGood and Wellness Festival hosted by WalkGood LA the feature screening of "Unstoppable," presented by Amazon MGM Studios at the Baldwin Hills Cinemark Theater. This powerful film, based on the true story of an amputee wrestler, stars Jennifer Lopez and Emmy-winning actor Jharrel Jerome. Their performances brought to life a moving narrative of resilience, determination, and the unyielding human spirit. "Unstoppable" is currently playing in select theaters and will be available to stream on Prime Video starting January 16, 2025.

The screening of "Unstoppable" was presented in partnership with Bricks and Wood, a South Central Los Angeles-based apparel company known for storytelling through design, manufacturing, and collaborations. As pillars of the South Central community, Bricks and Wood’s partnership underscored the festival’s mission to uplift local narratives and celebrate cultural pride.



Following the screening, WalkGood LA founder Etienne Maurice hosted an engaging Q&A session featuring Jharrel Jerome.
